C-A-N-C-E-R. Six simple letters that have shattered souls for decades.

It’s a terrifying  word.  It can leave you feeling helpless, defeated and at a complete loss of how to carry on.  We are a nationwide interactive support network dedicated to helping you embrace life and regain some control after you hear that word. Rather than empowering the disease and surrendering to it, we want you to accept and help propel a new vanguard against it – not only psychologically, but emotionally and physically as well.

Cancer is actually a very broad term.  There are more than 200 different types of cancer and each one has different symptoms and treatments. While it is true that the mortality rate for some cancers is high, it’s quite low for many others. In fact, more than 60 per cent of people diagnosed with cancer today will survive.  It’s important to understand that a cancer diagnosis does not always mean you’re the underdog.

Hope Happens

We do not solicit funds. We simply strive to nurture a more balanced and updated perception of this disease.  Although the medical crusade against cancer will, and must, continue, we need to remember to take a moment to celebrate every achievement to date. Cancer is not the end – it can be, and very often is, a difficult bump in the road.  For some, the social and  emotional trauma of this illness can take longer than recuperating from treatment.  However, thousands of people have reclaimed and embraced their lives after taking the cancer treatment road.

Hope can, and indeed does happen. Why can’t it happen for you?
